Spirituality Workshops Come to San Lucas
My Journey Home
From the first day of my return after more than 30 years of being absent from our 100 year old family hacienda, I felt the magic and spirit of it and understood my dad's need to preserve it, protect it and love it. Not only the beautiful physical location but its people and archeological heritage as well.
Four full years have passed by filled with intense labor done with much loving help from many very special friends that joined me in my vision. Sacrifice, hard labor and a passion bordering on obsession very quickly took on a life of its own. I was also held and supported by my dear sister Carolina and my baby brother Jose, who somehow believed in me and trusted my feelings. Of course, my dear father guided me in this vision from the moment I was born and continues to do so from his space now in the universe.
From a very deteriorated adobe house, San Lucas is now a small B&B privileged to host the most amazing, caring, sensitive and generous guests who somehow find us from all corners of the world. It has been their energy that has sustained me as San Lucas evolved - and continues to evolve - into a very special and spiritual place where many find peace, simplicity and enjoyment of our untouched nature surrounded by mysterious archeology.

My own wonderful experience (not necessarily paved without trying times) was preparing me for what now is my everyday life. My professional skills and experiences as a mother, teacher, wife, friend, daughter, lover and sister were spiritually preparing me for this part of my life journey. This has culminated with a dream I had when I first hiked up the hill to the rambling hacienda in autumn of 1998 where I understood deeply the privilege of being the caretaker of such a special place. At that moment I committed myself to sharing it with the world. Much help and guidance have come to me these past 5 years. Wonderful and loving messengers have brought me reassurance that I was doing what I was "meant" to do, the result of plans made lifetimes past. The surreal has become my reality and my life now makes complete sense. Peace, joy and love..and much hard work..fill my daily life but it is my privilege to meet, greet and enjoy the company of so many special guests that leave their mark in my heart and help us to continue giving life to San Lucas.
An early December weekend in 2004 opened what I believe is a new spiritual gate to those that wish to embrace the loving spirit of the universe within the magnificent remains of the very living Maya spirits. I invite you to enter into this new chapter of Hacienda San Lucas by lovingly introducing occasional spiritual retreats known as "The Awakening of the Goddesses" to all those who wish to understand how dreams can come true and how love can move mountains.

This gathering of women is designed to transmute our energies and pray with the Sacred Fire, following the rites of purification of the Maya Temascal, entering deep states of meditation through the breathing and dancing in celebration of the self.
